Although nobody has a magic wand to help out there are ways to increase the probability of getting a Fort Wilderness campsite. Here we have shared information on how to get Fort Wilderness Reservations using the same process we have used to make multiple reservations.

How to Find Peak Season Reservations

  1. Be persistent and patient about finding the reservations that you want.
  2. Avoid calling to find campsite openings at Fort Wilderness.
  3. If you haven’t already, set up an account on Walt Disney Worlds website.
  4. Be prepared to make Fort Wilderness Reservations online. Keep your browser ready and store your password for quick access.
  5. Put your payment method on file. Also, keep it handy in case the information needs to be re-entered.
  6. Stop only checking for the duration of your WDW vacation.
  7. Instead, see if there are individual days or smaller clusters.
  8. Frequently check dates of availability at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campsite.
  9. Look for opening’s early mornings, late evenings, and nighttime each day.
  10. Check more 30-60 days beforehand. Cancellations do happen before deposits are lost.
  11. Avoid looking only for the campsites in particular categories.
  12. Check for openings in different categories. Read about Fort Wilderness Campsite Classifications to learn more.

Tips on How to Get Peak Season Reservations at Fort Wilderness Campground

  • Keep in mind that separate reservations will require a one-night deposit. However, adding to reservations within the same category will make that unnecessary. Make modifications in under plans on My Disney Experience.
  • Remember Disney’s cancellation policy. Full refunds on room only reservations are available 24 hours before arrival. Packages need to be cancelled 30 days in advance to receive a full refund.
  • Be aware that Tent/Pop-up sites are smaller and lack sewar hookups. Furthermore, there isn’t a dump station at Fort Wilderness. Should they be suitable it’s one more option.
  • Additionally, bear in mind that there’s a risk of being moved by booking in different categories. Even though Fort Wilderness Reservations will make an effort to keep you on the same campsite, it won’t be guaranteed.
  • Book as far out as possible. Getting Fort Wilderness reservations close to the dates that you’d like to arrive isn’t as likely.
  • Check out How to Request a Campsite Assignment here to learn about securing a specific site. Plus, it’ll provide an opportunity to request one campsite assignment for the duration of your stay.

Even though there’s no way to ensure openings following this guidance will increase your chances of Finding Peak Season Fort Wilderness Reservations. Hopefully with some effort and luck you will find availabilities real soon. Wishing you a magical stay at Fort Wilderness Campground!
