Instead of wandering around trying to find Destinations inside Fort Wilderness learn about points of interest before you head out. Becoming familiar with the main areas of Fort Wilderness as well as the layout and facilities will make it much easier to navigate the campground.

One thing to be aware of is the size of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. It sits among 750 acres of woodland and includes 800+ campsites inside 21 separate loops. Hence the reason that guests feel immersed in nature instead of in the middle of a bustling city. However, as you can surely imagine, the scale of the campground can make it challenging for new visitors to navigate.

Even so, you don’t have to arrive completely unaware of how to get around Fort Wilderness Campground. Taking some time to review this Fort Wilderness Map will help orient you to the grounds. Once you have it open, note the main road labeled as Fort Wilderness Trail since it will be used to access loops and travel to main areas. Now, go ahead and locate the Outpost Area, Meadow Area, and Marina as these are primary locations.
