- Be persistent and patient about finding the reservations that you want.
- Avoid calling to find campsite openings at Fort Wilderness.
- If you haven’t already, set up an account on Walt Disney Worlds website.
- Be prepared to make Fort Wilderness Reservations online. Keep your browser ready and store your password for quick access.
- Put your payment method on file. Also, keep it handy in case the information needs to be re-entered.
- Stop only checking for the duration of your WDW vacation.
- Instead, see if there are individual days or smaller clusters.
- Frequently check dates of availability at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campsite.
- Look for opening’s early mornings, late evenings, and nighttime each day.
- Check more 30-60 days beforehand. Cancellations do happen before deposits are lost.
- Avoid looking only for the campsites in particular categories.

- Keep in mind that separate reservations will require a one-night deposit. However, adding to reservations within the same category will make that unnecessary. Make modifications in under plans on My Disney Experience.
- Remember Disney’s cancellation policy. Full refunds on room only reservations are available 24 hours before arrival. Packages need to be cancelled 30 days in advance to receive a full refund.
- Be aware that Tent/Pop-up sites are smaller and lack sewer hookups. Furthermore, there isn’t a dump station at Fort Wilderness.
- Additionally, bear in mind that there’s a risk of being moved by booking in different categories. Even though Fort Wilderness Reservations will make an effort to keep you on the same campsite, it won’t be guaranteed.
