Take finding that cheap, but unique Disney Autograph Book off your to-do list. You’ve just found it! Collect favorite character signatures in this book on Disney films. Reference it before getting character autographs & keep it as a special souvenir.
Unique Disney Autograph Book
Our families use of this book was the result one of those “Ah Ahh” moments. After scouring the internet for anything besides the typical signature book, I ended up disappointed. Instead, I later found it at a local store and when I started flipping through the pages a light bulb went off.
The Disney Who’s Who book is laid out beautifully. Essentially, it’s a 432-page biography of Disney Characters organized alphabetically by film. Instead of multiple characters being scattered over the pages there are individual pages devoted to popular Disney characters and even some that are lesser known. Pages are feature rich images and interesting details about the main characters along with their co-stars.
Review after Use at the Disney Parks
Needless to say, I was thrilled with my find. Although it wasn’t intended to be used as an autograph book it worked perfectly for us. Not only did our daughter enjoy the pictures and stories, but we also enjoyed using it to catch up on some of the newer Disney characters.
Before our last trip we decided to refresh ourselves on the characters by setting aside a bit of time each afternoon to take turns reading aloud from the book. Doing this added a great deal of pre-trip excitement to our household. It was also a fun way for our daughter to practice her reading and narration skills.
Once we arrived at the parks, I realized that we didn’t go wrong using Who’s Who as our Disney autograph book. It was nice to reference while waiting in line and the index made it easy to locate the characters that we were waiting to meet. Furthermore, it proved to be an avenue for the characters to interact with our daughter.
As for the downfalls there are very few. One is that the is heavier than typical Disney autograph books. As you can see from the pictures it is pretty thick, but if you’re worried about the weight consider that it’s only 1.75 pounds. Also, we found that it was easily managed by Disney characters and wasn’t burdensome for us to carry in a backpack
Also, not all of the characters that are accessible in the parks are featured in the book. Characters that we were surprised to find missing were the Country Bears, Mary Poppins, and Elena. Our remedy to that was for the characters to sign on the inside cover of the book.
Although every character isn’t in the book, do keep in mind that it still exceeds the number of characters found in usual autograph books. Furthermore, it’s unlikely that you’re here looking for an ordinary Disney signature book anyway. Disney’s Who’s Who Book is definitely that unique alternative that you were looking for.
Our Conclusion on Disney Signature Book
Cons: Although it is heavier than other books, we dealt with that by simply carrying it a front pocket of a backpack for easy access. Also, we discovered that it isn’t the cheapest option, but it is less than $15 and has more than blank pages.
Pros: Overall, we found that the Disney Who’s Who book to be a unique, high quality Disney Autograph Book. Our family enjoyed using it a great deal and felt that it was well worth the money.
Find It: Amazon offers the updated, refreshed version of the Who’s Who Book for between $10.99-$12.99. In order to save, avoid buying through retail stores where they’re usually between $15-20. Also, be sure to grab some Sharpies that are easier for the characters to grip.
Tips on Collecting Character Signatures
One thing that we can’t say enough is to bring plenty of sharpies. Not only are they easier for characters to hold onto than pens, but replacements as well as a variety of colors are good to keep handy. On our last trip we managed to lose two markers and discovered that it wouldn’t be easy to find a a pen at Epcot.
Another tip is to use the book to interact with the characters. Request that the Character read from the book to your young kiddos or have them show it to the characters. Anything that can provoke reactions from the characters will create great photo opportunities.
Even better, it encourages memorable interactions that your family will cherish long after your vacation ends. As an example, in the picture sadness was on a mission to take our daughter to visit other characters.
Finally, we incorporated pictures of autograph pages in a family memory book. Photo books are great keepsakes that you want nicely designed. However, don’t forget to ask characters to sign on or near the images in the book so that they’re easier to incorporate into your photo book. Otherwise, the location of autographs can end up interfering with your layout plans and forcing you to crop out portions that you’d like to keep. Below is in an example from our photo book.
Tinkerbells image with a blue arrow is an example of a signature that is too far away from the character. The signature would’ve been better in the circled area. Snow White has a green check mark, because the signature was easier to work with while creating our memory book.
